As far back as I can remember, I have always enjoyed observing nature. So it's quite logically that I came to take an interest in shooting. Initially, it was only a way of "freezing" the observed animal. Tight framing, centred subject, maximum depth of field and sun at its zenith... now, that's not really what I'm looking for before shooting.
Dragonflies and butterflies were my favourite subjects, frequently sought after "Aux Grangettes" (by Lake Geneva). It was then necessary to wait for the development of the negatives - later the slides - to see the result. It's still much more convenient to multiply the settings, the framing and to be able to take a look almost instantly at the arrangement of recorded pixels.
At present, landscapes and the urban environment increasingly capture my attention. Long exposure time or flash exposure, ultra wide-angle or super telephoto, blue sky or rainy weather... everything interests me and allows me to renew every day the pleasure of looking for the right settings to obtain the desired image.
Good viewing!
